Are your kids using the phone too much?

Are you concerned? Is what you are trying not working? What will those efforts look like in the future?

They are starting young as 4 years old to be adapted into the phone. So let's look at some obvious effects. First let's just see what the brain of a child is like.

Out of the womb there is light adjustments, verbal, sense vitalization, experience of being alive, then growth biologically kick in and then the shape that the neurons will take as the nervous system is being developed, the brain which is formulating new neurons is like a sponge, free to just learn. So what will happen to that natural phase of things.

1. Reading competency and comprehension will go down. Why? well first there is auto-correct and there is verbal lingo, and there there is the infamous non-verbal communication that is needed for complete comprehension. Words are just placement of expression, they don't hold expression, but when we become to verbal the routine of constant repetition of patterned thinking makes the brain more reliant on its's own interpretations rather then putting oneself in someones shoes. Basically talking to oneself.

2.The imagination will be effected: The imagination is not images, images on the screen are not imagination. Although verbally they are the same not in actuality. The imagination is a free flowing part of the brain responsible for heightened creativity and ingenuity. It is a place where forms don't exist, and reality can be bended so that something new which is not in reality can come into being. Their overuse of picture-sliding and time consuming thought activities with limited stimuli focus the neurons in the direction of externalizing itself, while at the same time being internal in ways that will be lonely, depressive, and anti-social.

3.The ability to relate will decline due to usage. Why? well look at what was said earlier, social-media is isolating. People on their phones sitting in the car, or at cafes or restaurants and not talking to each other.

4. Brain deformities will be on the rise including tumors.

5. The most dreaded part, the next generation will not carry over enough significant intelligence to the next offspring and this is of great concern. Degeneration is real! Memories do not get recorded since each being get's a fresh start free from the past. However the neural virility is recorded. There are two forms of evolution that take place. Solutions!

  1. Get them involved with working with their hands. Pottery is great!

  2. Be honest with them about the phones.

  3. Don't lay off on varying your explanations indirectly. Learning to be indirect is important. Often times don't ask just do let something be seen for themselves instead of allowing the mind to place objections prior to vision.

  4. It's okay to be concerned, as long as you are not an authoritarian about it, it will pass over with some patience. Kids now are even more distracted so they only take bits at a time.

  5. Talking about what is going on around and keeping them present will also work, kids often loose sight of locality and become inwardly minded.

  6. The most important is this, keep in mind you are the living example of what they have recorded as a metric to how they see the world, they are going to call you out on what you say. Don't take it personally, or cease to go for the point if they are deflecting onto you what is important for them to take notice about this new age where they don't experience the natural world as much as the technological world.
